WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Dedicated chicken and waffle fries lovers camped out overnight for the opening of the first stand alone Chick-Fil-A restaurant in the District Wednesday morning.
Well over 100 Washingtonians lined up overnight to get free food from the chicken restaurant.
WUSA9's Nikki Burdine spoke with one person who had been lined up for 12 hours. Why wait so long? The first 100 in line got 52 free meals from Chick-Fil-A.
The restaurant is located in the 3100 block of 14th St in Northwest, D.C.
