WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The District released its review of the Relisha Rudd Case on Tuesday.
The review concluded " that no justifiable government actions would have prevented Relisha's tragic disappearance."
The review team was led by deputy mayors BB Otero and Abigail Smith and was composed of directors from agencies including the Department of Human Services and the Department of Behavioral Health.
The team reviewed how various agencies handled the Relisha's case. Though the review determined that there was nothing more the city could have done for the 8-year-old, the team was able to recommend twenty-six changes intended to improve the system.

Shamika Young, Relisha's mother told WUSA9 that she disagrees with the report. One of the systems she believes failed is D.C. public schools: "if she missed all those school days, why didn't you call? That is your job requirement if a child misses a school day it is required for the automated system to call the parents."
After reviewing the report Mayor Gray said in a statement: "Although I understand the desire to identify some action the District government could have taken to prevent this apparent tragedy, I have reviewed the Deputy Mayor's thorough report and accept its conclusions."
The investigation into Relisha's disappearance is ongoing, but there is nothing new to report, said D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier.
