WASHINGTON — Another member of DC Mayor Muriel Bowser's administration is making headlines after being arrested for domestic violence Friday.
According to an incident report from the Metropolitan Police Department, Dr. Christopher Rodriguez was taken into custody after reportedly pushing a woman on the ground with both hands. A witness told police they overheard the pair arguing but did not see the alleged push.
The woman was later identified as Rodriguez's wife and mother of their daughter.
No injuries have been reported but Rodriguez was arrested for simple assault and domestic violence. He was then was taken to the Second District for further processing.
Rodriguez is a dually appointed Assistant City Administrator and acting Chief Technology Officer for the Bowser administration.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in D.C. has since said it will not prosecute the charges and Rodriguez was released.

The Office of D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced leadership changes within the cabinet Friday, replacing Deputy Mayor John Falcicchio with two people.
