WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a vehicle that they say is connected to a shooting that left a man injured in Northeast D.C. Sunday night.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to Constitution Avenue Northeast, nearby North Carolina Avenue Northeast, after a report of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say he was conscious and breathing at the time.
Through an initial investigation, police say they have connected a vehicle to the crime, sparking a lookout for a 2006 blue Honda Accord. The car was last seen traveling on 15th Street Northeast.
ShotSpotter recorded 15 rounds being fired in the area at the time of the shooting.
There is no suspect information available at this time.
