WASHINGTON — DC Fire and EMS are working to help a child who fell out a window in Southeast Wednesday evening.
Crews confirmed to WUSA that the child fell from an "upper-floor" window in the 1900 block of Trenton Place SE shortly after 4 p.m.
Officials say a medevac has been requested to help the child, whose name and age are unknown at this time.
There is no word on the child's condition or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the child falling out the window.
This is a developing story. More details will be added as they become available.
This is at least the third instance of children falling from windows in the D.C. area this year. In July, a 3-year-old boy died after falling from a high-rise apartment building in Alexandria, Virginia. Less than two months later, a child fell from an apartment window in Rockville, Maryland on Labor Day.
