WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA9/DDOT)--The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is going to begin work on outbound Canal Road in Northwest DC.
As long as the weather cooperates, this restoration project is slated to begin Monday, April 7 and last until Wednesday, April 9. The work is scheduled to take place between the hours of 10:15am and 7pm.
During this period, westbound Reservoir Road and V Street, NW will be closed to traffic.
DDOT recommends these detours:
10:15am--2:45pm:
Westbound (outbound) Canal Road NW will be closed. Traffic on Canal Road NW will be directed west on Foxhall Road NW, west on MacArthur Boulevard NW and then south on Arizona Avenue NW to reconnect with Canal Road NW.
Eastbound (inbound) traffic on Canal Road NW will be maintained.
2:45pm--7:00pm
One lane on westbound (outbound) Canal Road NW, between Clark Street and Reservoir Road NW, will be open to through traffic.
