Police are searching for the shooters that injured a minor on Hamilton Street

Officers received calls of shots fired, shortly after 2:30 p.m. They arrived at the 300 block of Hamilton Street near the Fort Totten Metro Station, in Northeast.

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are investigating after someone shot a minor in Northeast Thursday afternoon. 

Officers received calls of shots fired, shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Hamilton Street near the Fort Totten Metro Station, in Northeast. 

Upon their arrival, officers found a young boy suffering from gunshot wounds. First Responders got to the scene and transported him to a hospital. 

Their initial report says the minor was conscious and breathing during the transport. As of now, we do not know the current status of the minor. 

D.C. Police are currently working to find a suspect(s) connected to this shooting. They currently have not released any information regarding suspects or a motive.
