18-year-old man dead in Northwest, Police share photo of the shooting suspect's car

The man who was killed has been identified as 18-year-old Derron McQueen from Temple Hills, Maryland.

WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating after an 18-year-old was shot dead Saturday night in Adams Morgan.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are looking into the details of what happened just after 10 p.m. in the 1700 Block of Euclid Street, Northwest.

Third District officers said that they responded to the location after someone reported that a person was hit by a car. Police said that when they arrived, they found a man who had been shot. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim was pronounced dead. 

The man's body remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The man has since been identified as Temple Hills, Maryland resident Derron McQueen.

Police are now asking for the public's help locating a white Chevrolet Volt, with silver rims, they believe is connected to the crime. The car may be missing a driver's side window. 

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.

The 12 and 13-year-old girls were found and arrested after the incident, which occurred in the 300 block of I Street just after 8 p.m., about a five-minute walk from Waterfront Metro station.
