WASHINGTON — A 10-year-old and 2 other children were detained after police say they robbed and assaulted another young boy in Northeast.
Around 4 p.m. on Saturday, D.C. police responded to the 200 block of Massachusetts Avenue for the report of a robbery. The victim, a young boy, told police he was approached by three other juveniles who assaulted him and took his phone.
The victim told police one of the suspects, later identified by police as a 10-year-old boy, pointed a gun at him during the robbery. Police said the suspects ran away after taking the phone.
Later, officers stopped juveniles who matched the description of the suspects and took them into custody.
Although an arrest was made, police said they are still investigating the incident.
