BOWIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Bowie High School student has been charged in connection with possession of a gun after bringing the weapon to school grounds Friday morning.
Bowie State High School is located at 15200 Annapolis Road in Bowie, Md.
Around 8 a.m. Friday, school security was informed that a student was in possession of a weapon on school premises. The school contacted Bowie City Police and the student was charged for possession of a weapon.
The school released a letter to the parents Friday afternoon.
