BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Bethesda has been ranked as the fifth wealthiest city in the country, according to a new study by NerdWallet.
The study looked at 500 cities in the nation and took household income, home values, percent of home without mortgage and average credit limits into consideration.
According to the findings the median household income in Bethesda is $149,623. On average Bethesda residents have a credit limit of $75,539.36.
There are no mortgages on thirty-three percent of the homes in Bethesda, the study also found.
Four Californian cities took the top four spots on the list. Palo Alto placed number one with a median household income of $151,370.
