ASHBURN, Va. (WUSA9) -- A Chantilly man has been arrested after a bullet went through the wall of a house in Ashburn on Wednesday.

According to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office authorities, a resident of a home in the 44200 block of Litchfield Terrace reported finding a bullet had traveled through the wall of a bedroom and through a bed at 5:30 p.m. The resident also said that he or she had heard "a commotion" during the early morning hours on Wednesday.

At 10:47 p.m., deputies responded to another residence where they discovered that a man had discharged two rounds from a firearm at approximately 2 a.m. One round traveled into a shared wall with the second round traveling outside the back of the home, say authorities.

Authorities say they have charged 33-year-old Juan M. Ramos-Marroquin of Chantilly with unlawful discharge in an occupied residence.

The incident remains under investigation.
