2 men die after being stabbed at Wheaton mall

Two men have died after being stabbed Tuesday afternoon at the Westfield Wheaton shopping center, according to Montgomery County police.

The stabbing happened around 3:15 p.m. at the Wheaton mall located at 11160 Veirs Mill Road.

The entrance and exit of the mall was blocked by police on Tuesday afternoon. Police were not allowing anyone to go in or out.

When police arrived, officer found two victims suffering from life threatening injuries after the stabbing. Both victims later died at the hospital.

Police say no suspects have been arrested at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

The Westfield Wheaton Shopping Center released the following statement Tuesday night:

"The center is cooperating fully with the investigation and with any PD activity on site. All of us are shocked and saddened by this event and send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims."

For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crimes Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
