CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. — A woman has died from her injuries in a two-car crash in Culpeper County, police said.
The crash happened just before 3 p.m. Friday on Route 802/Springs Road near Fair Oaks Drive, according to Virginia State Police.
29-year-old Stephanie Rix, of Manassas, lost control of her car, ran off the road and hit an embankment. Rix's car then hit a van driven by an unidentified 22-year-old man, police said.
Rix was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died, according to police.The male driver suffered from minor injuries.
Both were wearing seat belts when they crashed.
The crash remains under investigation.
