DC United helping the District exercise with #FITDC workouts during COVID-19 pandemic

D.C. United is doing what it can to help keep the District fit! This includes with the help of their pets and families.

WASHINGTON — While the pandemic has us inside and not enjoying our regular day-to-day life, including fitness regimens, D.C. United is making sure D.C. residents stay healthy via the fitness initiative #FITDC.

While #FITDC may be used a lot with social media, to help promote the District of Columbia's goal for D.C. to reclaim the title as the number one fittest city in America, it has now also become a go to place for residents to stay healthy via online exercise options

D.C. United has joined the cause, by providing tips, workout tricks and creating videos to help with it all.

Numerous players and coaches of the team have participated in the #FITDC initiative, and sometimes you even get to see there home set up, and how they interact with their families! Sometimes you get to see some adorable pups as well!

"The best thing we can do right now is be United. The easiest way to do that? By being a good neighbor," said Jason Levien, Co-Chairman and CEO, D.C. United. The workout-at-home challenge we created alongside Mayor Bowser, uses our Head Coach Ben Olsen and players to guide residents through family-friendly workouts they can do at home with their partner, kids, or roommates."

Mayor Bowser has also been a great champion of #FITDC, before and during this pandemic, and can regularly be seen retweeting workouts to her Twitter account.

The workouts that can be accessed are even specified ones for adults, seniors, families and kids.
