WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A D.C. teacher could use your help.
Ms. Teresa Dobler teaches 6th grade science at Washington Latin Public Charter School in Northwest D.C.
She posted a project on donorschoose.org asking for donors to fund batteries, resistors, breadboard kits and magnets for an electricity and magnetism unit.
Ms. Dobler said new curriculum requires her students to engage in more hands on activity.
Although it requires additional money and resources, she's seeing a difference in how her students retain information.
