LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) -- A crash took out a utility pole and brought down wires at Lafayette Avenue and Irving in Laurel on Monday morning.
The Sky 9 chopper flew over the scene where it appeared the dump truck had been removed.
City of Laurel officials say the power is out at a nearby traffic signal at Routes 197 and 198. The driver of the truck was trapped by energized lines for some time, say officials.
Crews were continuing to cleanup the area early Monday afternoon.
