GILBERT, AZ (WUSA9) -- Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb was arrested in Arizona for driving under the influence after his car rear-ended another vehicle.
The incident happened at 11:35 p.m. June 28th at the intersection of E. Chandler Heights Road and South Higley Road in Gilbert, according to Gilbert Police Department officials.
Police say Donovan McNabb "was impaired by alcohol" and hit a stopped vehicle at a red light. He was arrested for DUI and later released.
It's not the first time McNabb has spent time in an Arizona jail. He also spent a day behind bars in 2014.

McNabb played for the Washington Redskins in 2010. He previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles for 11 seasons. He spent some time with the Minnesota Vikings before retiring in 2011.
