Man, teenage girl shot in NW DC

​Officers were called to the area for reports of a shooting shortly after 8 p.m. Upon arrival, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting that left a young man and a teenage girl wounded in Northwest D.C. Monday evening.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 1300 block of Rittenhouse Street, Northwest. 

Officers were called to the area for reports of a shooting shortly after 8 p.m. Upon arrival, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The victims have only been identified as a young man around 18 and 19 years old and a teenage girl. The man was not conscious or breathing when help arrived. The teenage girl was awake and breathing when officers found her. 

Police are on the lookout for a gray Toyota Camry with tints last seen traveling southbound in the 6200 block of 13th Street, Northwest.

If you see the suspects, take no action and call 911.
