3 women arrested for stealing $20,000 worth of clothing from the Black Cat in Northwest DC, police say

The police report reveals the stolen property included 100 multi-colored clothing essentials from the brand 'Fear of God.'

WASHINGTON — Three women have been arrested after police say they burgled $20,000 worth of goods from Black Cat, a live music venue in Northwest D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it responded to a business alarm shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday morning in the 1800 block of 14th Street Northwest. As officers arrived at the scene, they said they saw the suspects running out of Black Cat with stolen property before getting into a car to flee.

A car chase ensued and the suspects were "quickly apprehended" after they tried to ditch their car and escape on foot, according to police. Sabrina Kenny, 23, of Alexandria, VA, 23-year-old Jasmine Clark, of Southwest D.C., and 24-year-old Alnaja Jackson, of Southeast D.C., were arrested and charged with burglary in the second degree, resisting arrest, and fleeing from law enforcement. All three suspects were transported to the Third District Station for processing.

The police report reveals the stolen property included 100 multi-colored clothing essentials from the brand 'Fear of God.' The burglary comes on the heels of several other burglaries and vandalism incidents across the District on the same night. At this moment, it is unclear if this burglary is connected to the others.
