ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A suspect was taken into custody after what police are calling a "domestic-related shooting" where a woman was grazed by a bullet in her head Friday night.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, the shooting happened in Franconia in the 5900 block of Saint Giles Way.
Investigators say a man and a woman got into an argument and the woman walked away, going inside a home. That is when police say the man took out a gun and shot into the house. The bullet grazed the woman's head. She was taken to an area hospital and treated for a minor laceration.
Police say the suspect initially contained himself inside the home. Officers were later able to take him into custody.
