CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — A woman is in custody for a fight that led to the death of a Maryland woman.
Erica Terry was arrested on Thursday in Capitol Heights and charged with the death of Connie Burns. According to police, officers were called to the 6400 block of Cabin Branch Court for reports of a fight.
When they arrived, they found Burns with trauma to her body. Terry remained on the scene. Burns was pronounced dead a short while later.
A preliminary investigation showed that Terry and Burns knew each other before the fight. Police have not disclosed what caused the fight.
Terry was taken into custody and was charged with second-degree murder.
