CHEVY CHASE, Md. — Two men are facing charges in connection to a burglary that police say involved more than 20 thieves.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the burglary happened at the Saks Fifth Avenue store in the 5500 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase on Sept. 10.
Investigators say shortly before 1:15 a.m., more than 20 people forced their way into the store and stole merchandise. A newly released video shows a parade of people entering the store and leaving with various items for around three minutes.
When officers arrived, they saw groups of people leaving the store and apprehended two of the suspects, later identified as 27-year-old Mandel Greene from Washington, D.C., and 21-year-old Omar Ross Staley from Beltsville. The pair have been charged with second-degree burglary. Additionally, Greene was charged with theft of $1,500 to under $25,000.
Both suspects were later released on unsecured personal bonds.
The other suspects have not yet been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives.
