WASHINGTON — Two teenagers are under arrest in connection with several carjackings that occurred across the District. Police have not said the carjackings are connected nor do the teens have any connection to one another.
Investigators say a 16-year-old boy is charged as an adult in connection to six carjackings across Washington, D.C. including:
- On Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 11:50 p.m., an unarmed carjacking was reported in the 200 block of 58th Street, NE.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 9:58 p.m., an armed carjacking was reported in the 4900 block of Sheriff Road, NE
- On Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 10:52 p.m., an unarmed carjacking was reported in the 500 block of 21st Street, NE.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 11:57 p.m., an armed carjacking was reported on I-295 Southbound prior to Exit 1.
- On Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 8:28 p.m., an armed carjacking was reported in the 2900 block of 7th Street, SE.
- On Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 10:25 p.m., an armed carjacking was reported in the 200 block of 45th Street, NE.
- On Sept. 22, 2023, at 4:16 p.m., a robbery was reported in the 4400 block of Sheriff Road, NE.
In addition, police say a 15-year-old boy was also charged in connection with four carjackings across D.C. on Monday including:
- On Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11:50 p.m., an unarmed carjacking was reported in the 100 block of Kentucky Avenue, SE.
- On Sunday, Oct. 22, at 6:25 a.m., an unarmed carjacking was reported in the 1700 block of F Street, NE.
- On Sunday, Oct. 22, at 8:05 p.m., an unarmed carjacking was reported in the 2500 block of Benning Road, NE.
- On Thursday, Oct. 26, at 12:20 a.m., an armed carjacking was reported in the 3700 block of Southern Avenue, SE.

These cases remain under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
