One killed, one injured in Northwest DC shooting Friday night

Police are looking for a man with tattoos on his face in connection to a shooting that killed a D.C. woman and injured another man.

WASHINGTON — A woman died and a man was injured after a shooting inside a residence Friday night in Northwest D.C. 

Police responded to a shooting around 10:30 p.m. Friday at a residence on the 1000 block of Spring Road Northwest. Officers found a man and a woman had both been shot by someone who fled the area. The woman has been identified as 33-year-old Tanisha Morris. Morris was not conscious or breathing, and was pronounced dead on scene. Police say the man, whose identity has not been revealed, is alive but in critical condition.

Police say they are looking for a man with tattoos on his face, but have not provided any pictures of the suspect. They have also not provided any more details on the victims, or said if they knew the person who shot them. 

The area of Spring Road where the shooting occurred is primarily residential, with multiple apartments and one gym.
