WASHINGTON — Two teenage boys are facing charges after they were found with a shotgun in Northwest D.C. Sunday.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 300 block of Delafield Place, Northwest just before 11 p.m. for reports of a burglary and the sounds of gunshots.
When officers arrived, they found the two boys, one of whom was carrying a shotgun.
Both of the teens were arrested and evidence suggests the shotgun had recently been fired. No injuries were reported.
Both of the 14-year-old boys were charged with discharge of a firearm and possession of an unregistered firearm. One of the boys was also charged with robbery after police connected him to a February investigation in the 6300 block of 5th Street, Northwest.
Anyone with information may contact detectives at (202) 727-9099 or text the department's tip line at 50411.
