DC Police investigating shooting that left teen boy injured

The shooting happened on Fort Stevens Drive Northwest, off of 13th Street Northwest.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after a shooting in Northwest D.C. left a teenager injured Thursday night.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to Fort Stevens Drive Northwest, off of 13th Street Northwest, just before 8:10 p.m. after a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a teen boy who had been shot.

Police say the boy, solely identified as being a 13-year-old, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was conscious and breathing at that time.

No information has been released about any potential persons of interest in the case so far. The investigation into the shooting remains active and ongoing.
