WASHINGTON — A teenager was shot in Northeast D.C. on Friday morning.
At 9:42 a.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of East Capitol Street Northeast. When they arrived, they located the 15-year-old boy had been shot.
After he was shot, he ran to nearby Eastern High School and went inside, DC Police said. The school was on alert status but that has since been lifted.
Police said his injuries did not appear life-threatening.
Investigators were looking for four males wearing dark-colored puffy goose coats, armed with a handgun, and last seen driving in a 2018 gray Nissan Rogue bearing D.C. registration GC5721.
No other details have been released.
