PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Maryland State Police are asking for the public's help locating three to four suspects involved in an armed carjacking in Prince George's County Friday night.
Just after 10 p.m., the Prince George's County Police Department got in touch with Maryland State Police for a report of an armed carjacking in the area.
Investigators say the victim was driving westbound on the Allentown Road ramp to northbound Branch Avenue, when two dark colored cars boxed the victim's red Dodge Charger in. This is when three to four suspects got out wearing black ski masks got out, pointed a gun at the victim, and drove off in their stolen Dodge.
While talking with the victim, investigators also learned that the car had been located on Suitland Parkway, just west of Stanton Road in Washington, D.C. Police say it had been involved in a crash causing it to become disabled. Investigators believe the car was involved in several other crashes in D.C. before being located.
Maryland State Police troopers responded to the site of the stolen car and subsequently assumed the investigation.
