Person of interest in Prince George's County homicide caught on camera

Keith Daniel Bennet, 27, was shot and killed. Police are searching for the person responsible.

SUITLAND, Md. — Police are asking for the public's help to find a person of interest connected to the deadly shooting of a 27-year-old man on Wednesday. Investigators just released surveillance video of the person they believe is responsible.

Detectives are investigating the murder of Keith Daniel Bennet of Suitland. On Wednesday, around 12:30 p.m. officers responded to the 4500 block of Silver Hill Road, close to the Suitland Metro station, for a report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers found Bennett shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

In the surveillance video, a person of interest is seen walking on Parkway Terrace Drive. A short time later the same person, thought to be a male, is seen running back down Parkway Terrace Drive in the opposite direction, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the person in the video is urged to call Prince George's County's Homicide unit and speak to a detective at 301-516-2512. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
