WALDORF, Md. — Police are investigating after a student was reportedly sexually assaulted by a classmate in a middle school bathroom.
According to the Charles County Sheriff's Office, the assault was reported on Wednesday, a day after the alleged attack at John Hanson Middle School.
Investigators say, a student lured another student into a bathroom, where they groped and inappropriately touched them. The accused student will be charged with fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault, in addition to the disciplinary consequences from Charles County Public Schools.
The ages of the students have not been released.
