2 teens shot in Southwest DC, police say

Police are still working to figure out exactly what happened.

WASHINGTON — A shooting in Southwest D.C. has sent two teenagers to the hospital, according to police.

Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to a shooting in the 1400 block of First Street Southwest for a report of a shooting just after midnight on Monday. When officers arrived on scene they found the two teenaged victims shot.

Police said the victims were a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl. Police said both of them were conscious and breathing when they were taken by ambulance to the hospital. The current conditions of both teens is not known at this time. 

Police said on social media that people should be on the lookout for a gray Audi with unknown tags. Investigators have not said whether any suspects in this case have been taken into custody. Police are still working to figure out what might have led up to the shooting.
