WASHINGTON — A 17-year-old boy was hurt in a shooting that happened in Northwest D.C. Wednesday night, and now police are searching for the culprits involved.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to 13th Street Northwest, nearby Roosevelt High School, around 7:45 p.m. after a report of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they learned that a teenage boy was shot in the abdomen.
He is expected to survive his injuries as they are not considered to be life-threatening. He is being treated at a local hospital.
The police department says they are looking for two males involved in the shooting. One was said to be armed with a silver handgun while the other one had a black handgun.
