Tire shop shooting in Prince George's County leaves man dead

Police said they were looking for two suspects captured on surveillance video leaving the scene in Capitol Heights.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — A man is dead after a shooting at a tire shop in Capitol Heights early Saturday morning. Police are asking for the public's help to find two people detectives believe are responsible.

Homicide detectives with Prince George's County Police said Anthony Okoye, 41, was shot and killed inside the tire shop where he worked. When officers arrived at the shop in the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue in Capitol Heights for a welfare check, they found Okoye shot in the street. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. 

Police said the two suspects left the scene in a dark-colored Mercedes sedan. The two suspects and the vehicle were captured on surveillance cameras. Images of the suspects and the car can be seen below.

Detectives continue to investigate what led up to the shooting. The police department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
