WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help finding a group of carjackers they say took off with a delivery driver's scooter and stole the food the victim was delivering.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 1700 block of Gales Street, Northeast just after midnight on Sunday, June 16.
When officers arrived, they learned three suspects had walked up to the victim who was on a motorized scooter while delivery food in the area. The suspects reportedly assaulted the victim before taking off with the scooter and the food the victim was delivering.
The suspects have not yet been apprehended so police released photos of the suspects captured by surveillance cameras in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (202) 727-9099 or text the department's tip line at 50411.
