18-year-old identified from deadly shooting in Northwest DC

Very little information has been released regarding the events that led up to the shooting or suspect information.

WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Northwest D.C.

Police were called to the 700 block of Missouri Avenue, NW on Saturday just after 4:15 p.m. for sounds of gunshots. Officers searched the 5700 block of 7th Street, where they found a man who had been shot. First responders took the victim to an area hospital. 

Staff at the hospital pronounced the victim dead a short while later. The victim was later identified as 18-year-old Raymond Washington. 

Very little information has been released regarding the events that led up to the shooting or suspect information. 

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
