Police investigate deadly shooting in Bowie

The victim has been identified as a 17-year-old boy.

BOWIE, Md. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting of a teenager in Bowie Monday evening.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the 11200 block of Lake Overlook Drive shortly after 6:30 p.m. 

When officers arrived, they found a boy lying on the ground shot. Despite help arriving, the teen died. He has been identified as 17-year-old Re'Sheed Reid.

There is no word any suspect information at this time.

Investigators have not said anything about possible motives or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
