Shooter sends bullets into homes, car over series of nights in Fairfax County

Police believe the six incidents they're investigating from the past few days are related. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

CENTREVILLE, Va. — A number of shots were fired in the last days of October in Fairfax County, striking two homes and a car in Centreville, according to detectives. 

A total of six incidents were reported from Oct. 23 through Oct. 30 and police currently believe they are related. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

The first incident took place just after 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, when an occupied home was shot into within the 7100 block of Ordway Road. Then, on Oct. 28 at 8:30 p.m., the same incident occurred on the 6900 block of Hovingham Court. 

A day later, at both 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., gunshots were heard in the 7100 block of Ordway Road, however, no damage was discovered. Also at 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 29, a person driving at Ordway Road and Compton Road suddenly had their car door struck by bullets.

On Oct. 30, for the third time in the 7100 block of Ordway Road, gunshots were reported with no damage discovered around 7 p.m.

Detectives are continuing to investigate to formulate a suspect description.
