Police search for suspect in Northeast DC stabbing

WASHINGTON — DC Police are asking for the public's help finding a man wanted for a stabbing near the National Arboretum. Investigators have not released details about the person stabbed, or what led up to the stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police Department said the stabbing happened in the 1700 block of 18th Street Northeast just after noon on Sunday. Detectives used the department's new Real Time Crime Center to find images of the wanted person. He is described as about 20 years old with short, twisted in hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt, grey pants and black and white Nike shoes. He was armed with a knife, and last seen heading northbound on 18th Street Northeast.
