4 men injured in DC shootings Friday night and Saturday morning

One of the victims was found dead inside a car. Three others are expected to recover.

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for suspects in multiple overnight shootings that left one man dead and three others injured in D.C.

Between 11:15 p.m. Friday and 4:12 a.m. Saturday morning, there were four different shootings across Northeast and Southeast D.C. One of the victims was declared dead at the scene and the other three were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The first shooting occurred at 11:15 p.m. in the 4100 block of Hunt Place, NE. When police arrived on scene, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was conscious and breathing. Police say they are looking for a younger Black man with a light complexion wearing a ski mask and black jacket in connection with the shooting. 

About two hours later, police responded to the 1200 block of Raum Street NE, at 1:18 a.m. and found another man who had been shot, also conscious and breathing. Police are searching for a four-door white Kia seen at the shooting. 

The third shooting happened in the 2500 block of New York Avenue, NE. Police were already at the hospital when a shooting victim walked in for treatment at 3:26 a.m. The man was conscious and breathing, with a gunshot wound, when he walked in. Police say they have no suspects at this time. 

The last shooting was at 4:12 a.m. near the intersection of Stanton Road and Mississippi Avenue, SE. Officers said they found a car parked partially on the sidewalk, and found a man with gunshot wounds inside the car. He was prounounced dead at the scene. Police also say they have no suspects in this shooting, either. 

Police identified the man as 35-year-old Christian Elsberry of Clinton, Maryland.
