Police: Mother, daughter arrested for stabbing man to death in Prince George's County

Detectives say the victim was dating the mother at the time of the deadly stabbing.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Police have arrested a mother and daughter for stabbing a man to death earlier this month. 

According to a press release from Prince George's County Police, 49-year-old Cheryl Wright and 31-year-old Jasmine Wright have been charged with stabbing 68-year-old Daniel Gregory Thompson to death. 

Officers claim Thompson was stabbed at a home in the 6700 block of W. Forest Road. He was taken to a nearby hospital but died two days later. 

Detectives say Thompson was dating Cheryl Wright when the deadly stabbing happened on October 15. Investigators believe Thompson was arguing with the women when the stabbing occurred. 

Cheryl Wright is in the custody of the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. Jasmine Wright is in custody in Washington, DC, pending extradition to Prince George’s County.  Both are have been charged with first- and second-degree murder and additional charges.
