HYATTSVILLE, Md. — A Maryland man is custody for multiple crimes after being recognized by detectives during an alleged robbery in Rockville.

Tajaun Curtis Grier, 20, of Hyattsville faces several charges.

On June 12, officers with the Rockville City Police Department responded to the area of East Montgomery Avenue and Monroe Street for a robbery. Once there, police say it was revealed that a woman had been assaulted and her property taken. Officers found a juvenile suspect nearby who was charged with robbery in connection. An additional suspect remained at-large.

On July 5, at 12:30 p.m., detectives say they were watching a robbery taking place in the same area and noticed one of the suspects looked familiar. Grier was identified as the suspect who got away in the June 12 robbery at the location. He was taken into custody and charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and theft.

Investigators also determined that Grier was wanted for attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and other gun violations by the Prince George's County Police Department. He is now in custody awaiting his bail hearing.
