Man wanted after bank robbery in Manassas

Police describe the suspect as a Black man last seen wearing a black beanie, red shirt, a camo hooded sweatshirt under a blue jacket and grey or olive-green pants.

MANASSAS, Va. — Police are searching for a suspect after a robbery at a Bank of America in Manassas Saturday.

On Nov. 19 at 9:19 a.m., officers with the Prince William County Police Department responded to the bank located at 8501 Sudley Road in Manassas, Va. to investigate a robbery that had just occurred.

Detectives say an unknown man entered the bank and approached the teller, where he passed a note demanding money and implying he was armed with a gun.

Police say he then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank.

Officers and a police K-9 searched the surrounding area for the suspect, but were unable to locate him.

No injuries were reported and at no time during the incident was a firearm displayed, according to a news release.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect, a Black man, wearing a black beanie, red shirt, camouflage hooded sweatshirt under a blue jacket and grey or olive-green pants during the robbery.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
