GLENARDEN, Md. — Police are investigating a shooting at a gym in Glenarden Thursday night.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the LA Fitness located at 9450 Ruby Lockhart Boulevard for reports of a shooting around 8:30 p.m.
Very little information is available regarding the shooting at this time, however, a Prince George's County Police Department spokesperson has confirmed to WUSA9 that a man was wounded in the shooting. There is no word on his condition at this time.
Glenarden Police Chief Regis Bryant says the shooting happened in the basketball court area after an argument between two men and a woman. Multiple people witnessed the shooting, according to Bryant.
The shooter reportedly drove away in a white vehicle before police arrived. No suspect description has been released at this time.

The gym delayed its opening until 10 a.m. on Friday. One man who showed up early to workout was met with closed doors.
"I'm just shocked," he said. "I'm just coming here to workout and I see the gym is closed."
