Shooting victim dies from wounds after walking into hospital, DC Police say

The man was able to get to the hospital after the shooting, but he later died from his wounds.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after a gunshot victim died shortly after walking into a D.C. hospital early Wednesday morning.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the Unit block of K Street, Southeast just before 2:30 a.m. 

Upon arrival, officers found evidence but no victims. They later learned a man who had been shot had arrived at a D.C. hospital. The man later died from his injuries. Investigators say the man was killed in the K St. shooting. 

Police have since identified the man as 31-year-old Michael Sebastian. There is no information available regarding a suspect in his death.
