BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, Va. — A shooting in Bailey's Crossroads has left a man dead early Friday, and has sparked a homicide investigation into what happened.
Officers with the Fairfax County Police Department responded to Argyle Drive, off of Leesburg Pike, after a report of a shooting in the area. They say a man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, but he was pronounced dead.
At 3:20 a.m., the police department announced on their social media page that officers remained at the location investigating. At this point in the investigation, it has been determined that the shooter and the victim knew each other.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
