WASHINGTON — A man was killed in Northwest D.C. overnight, sparking a homicide investigation and leaving police searching for multiple people in connection to the crime.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to Sheridan Street Northwest, off of 9th Street Northwest, after the fire department received a call about a man down in the area. The call was received around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
Upon arrival at the location, police found a man dead in an alley, suffering from blunt force trauma to the head. The victim has not been identified, this includes his name, age, and where he is from.
No suspects or persons of interest have been identified in the case. Police say they are looking for at least four people who were last seen running from the area.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
