WASHINGTON — A man is facing charges after police connected him to 11 thefts from two CVS stores in Northwest D.C.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, 29-year-old Paul Loose was arrested Tuesday. He has been charged with 11 counts of second-degree theft.
The thefts happened between October 2023 and January 2024. Four of the thefts happened just minutes apart. All of the offenses happened between two CVS stores, a majority were from the convenience store in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. The last reported theft happened at a CVS in the 4300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
Police say Loose has been connected to the following thefts:
- On Oct 17, 2023, at approximately 8:48 a.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
- On Dec 2, 2023, at approximately 6:37 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest
- On Dec 16, 2023, at approximately 8:50 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest
- On Jan 17, at approximately 9:17 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
- On Jan 17, at approximately 9:17 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
- On Jan 17, at approximately 9:18 in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
- On Jan 17, at approximately 9:19 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
- On Jan 18, between 5:27 p.m. and 5:32 p.m. in the 4300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
Police have not released any information regarding what exactly was taken during the reported thefts and how much money the stolen merchandise was worth.
