HYATTSVILLE, Md. — A resident’s surveillance camera captures a heartbreaking moment. A man brutally attacks a small dog in Hyattsville.
Someone who lives in the area sent WUSA9 the video. She said she lives near where the incident happened.
“When I saw the dog repeatedly being punched, stomped, choked and then pulled up by its neck. I couldn’t even tell if the dog was alive. It was alarming to see something like that,” A resident said.
The resident tells WUSA9 the video was posted by a someone who lives in the Village of Morgan Metro Apartments. However, they would not provide an exact address.
Since the video was posted, several concerned residents have been trying to find the exact unit, based on the video.
“That amount of anger was frightening to see being inflicted on a dog. If you hurt an animal, what else are you willing or able to do to a human,” the resident said.
WUSA9 reached out to the apartment complex. The assistant manager said they received the video and it appears to have happened on their property.
However, they can’t confirm.
The Prince George’s County Animal Control is aware of the video and is investigating. The Prince George’s County Police Department is also aware and assisting animal control.
“Who knows if the dog is still living. I know, if the dog was my animal, my pet, my baby, I would want someone to do it for me,” The resident said.
