WASHINGTON — A man has been arrested and charged with killing his brother in a shooting earlier this month in Southeast D.C.
On Dec. 5, 25-year-old Mark Odoms was found shot at 5:16 p.m. on the 2000 block of Wade Road SE. He was brought to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Nearly two weeks later on Monday, Mark Odoms’ younger brother, Lamar Odoms, 23, was arrested in Temple Hills, Maryland, by Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force officers.
He has been charged with second-degree murder while armed.
Police have not provided any details on the brothers’ relationship or what happened leading to the shooting.
Lamar Odoms lives in Southeast D.C., and Mark Odoms had no fixed address, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
